The health training gave me skills to help dozens of women in my community.
When Amara discovered she was pregnant in a remote village in Kano State, she feared the worst. With no health facility nearby and her previous birth resulting in complications, she was terrified. Through our Safe Motherhood Program, a trained community health worker visited her home weekly, guiding her through each stage of her pregnancy.Today, Amara is a proud mother of a healthy baby girl. She is now training to become a community health advocate herself, passing forward the care she received.
